Thanks to the efforts of BOMOO (Brest Regional Youth Public Association) “Disabled and Environment”, on February 15, the first such master class with volunteers was organized in Brest, as well as a lesson with children with special needs of psychophysical development. The enthusiastic feedback from the participants inspired the organizers to repeat the event. Moreover, it was included in the training program for volunteers of the Eighth International Festival "special" theaters "Neprataptan Way", which will be held in our city on April 28-30, 2012.
A very diverse audience gathered within the hospitable walls of Brest State University named after A.S. Pushkin: volunteers, future teachers, and already working specialists from various healthcare and educational institutions, and even random passers-by who were interested in the event.
According to Vitaly Pavlogradsky, the host of the master class and the head of the “Healing Magic” project in the Republic of Belarus, the main idea is that magic tricks should not be just entertainment, but an effective tool that helps heal both physical and emotional problems of people of all ages. Both children and adults with congenital and acquired psychoneurological diseases, developmental disorders, damage to the spinal cord, brain, or musculoskeletal system can master quite simple and at the same time spectacular tricks.
The event was not only educational, but also inspiring. The participants watched with delight the skill of the presenter and, like children, were immediately and wildly happy that they, too, were able to repeat real tricks.
Let's hope that “Healing Magic” will find followers in our city and will be continued. After all, each of us can give a small miracle to those who need support.
