The focus of the project is a theater festival for the disabled with the participation of international groups, which offers a variety of opportunities for community outreach and will serve as a multifaceted testing ground for the planned clubs, work groups, and workshops. Since there are already good contacts with the local authorities and they are participating in the financing of the project, the applicants hope through the project to make a good case for long-term and long-term support for the already created working conditions and employment opportunities.
Project goals
The project pursues the goal of organizing creative activities for people with disabilities, creating a bridge between them and the local community. The gradual transformation of public ideas about people with disabilities is the only and lasting basis for changing and improving their position in society. To compare the situation, just look back at what happened in Germany 30-40 years ago! “Integration through art” also means that disabled people themselves, thanks to their creative productivity, will perceive themselves differently. Just like family members, they should see them not only as limited by disabilities, but capable of attracting public interest and changing the prevailing picture about people with disabilities. Creative activity and production cover all craft, information and visual forms.
