The regional New Status competition on basic rehabilitation for people with visual impairments was held in Brest on 20–21 August 2026.
The event was organised by the Brest regional organisation of the Belarusian Association of the Visually Impaired.
Twelve people with Group I and Group II visual disabilities took part. Seven participants were totally blind.
Participants were divided into two groups: experienced users and beginners. The degree of vision loss was also taken into account when organising the competition.
Events of this kind provide opportunities to practise and develop independence skills that are useful in everyday life.
