Representatives of the non-governmental organization “Disabled and Environment” are permanent members of the public coordination environmental council under the Brest Regional Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus. On December 11, 2020, an expanded meeting of this council took place in Belovezhskaya Pushcha.
Within the framework of the issues under consideration (Experience of cooperation of the State Public Institution NP "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" with public organizations, the state of populations and the problem of bison conservation, study and generalization of environmental initiatives), pressing modern problems were voiced and the experience of solving them by state environmental structures and NGOs was considered.
A presentation was made of the positive environmental experience of the public movement “For Velo Brest” and the Brest cycling club of three ages “RaDeya” BOO “Disabled and Environment”. The chairman of the RaDeya club, Valentin Vasilyevich Boldenko, fascinated the council members with his direct revelation about the “Weekend” cycling marathons during the reporting year. He told not only how you can relax in nature by riding a bicycle, but also how to ride with benefit: rehabilitation of the disabled, planting trees, cleaning areas, cleaning springs, weekend cleanups and much more.
