The center is located at: st. Moshenskogo, 66, was created as part of the implementation of the Initiative “Inclusive Center for the Promotion of Healthy Lifestyle” of the BELMED project. Entrance to its territory is free, so everyone is invited to exercise on street exercise equipment, play volleyball, boccia, and showdown on equipped and safe grounds. Kids can also actively spend time in the fresh air: there is a play complex, carousels, swings, manholes and other equipment for them here.
Since the end of last year, the Inclusive Center has been hosting classes for young residents of Berezovka and people with disabilities who want to improve their knowledge in the field of preventing non-communicable diseases and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Visitors play tennis, table football, air hockey, chess and learn to ride a bicycle.
You can exercise on the sports and play equipment daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. In addition, on Sundays (at 13.30) and Wednesdays (at 17.00) organized sports and game classes and master classes are held here. You can also attend classes on the development of children 4–5 years old and on preparing for school (5–6 years old), absolutely free of charge, and attend the “Me and My Family” club (the first meeting will take place on the eve of Mother’s Day, October 13, at 14.00). On the opening day of the Inclusive Center, its sports ground became the venue for competitions as part of the “Sport for All!” festival. 45 young people with disabilities competed for victory, and the strongest received awards. The first places in boccia were taken by Alla Sayuk and Inna Matveeva from Brest, in darts by Brest resident Lyubov Supretko and Vladimir Yarmulo from Kobrin, in showdown by Pavel Stasevich and Yulia Vasilyuk (Brest).
“We want to introduce city residents to new opportunities to increase physical activity and attract them to visit the Inclusive Center for Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle,” he told the journalist Zarya.by Chairman of the non-profit organization "Invalid and Environment" Ivan Shmyga. “It was created on the basis of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, together with which we have been conducting active rehabilitation for more than 20 years, helping young people with disabilities overcome the “four walls” complex. I lost my leg 35 years ago, and I understand how important it is to value health, how difficult it is for people with disabilities to be accepted by society. Let equal opportunities, warmth of relationships, joy of communication, mutual understanding and love for each other be the motto of the Inclusive Center for many years to come!

“Movement is life, so it’s great that such a center has opened in Brest,” said Paralympic athlete Anna Sirotyuk (European champion, winner of the World Cup in wheelchair dancing). “Here, for example, there is a site for the Paralympic sport of boccia, which can also be regarded as an exciting mass sport for young people. Personally, I am interested in strength and movement sports, which develop and turned me from a bedridden patient into a person who receives all the opportunities life provides.
Guests of the holiday were convinced of how good it is to lead an active lifestyle. The children enjoyed testing out the play motorcycles and vehicles provided by JLLC PP Polesie (Kobrin). Teenagers aged 12–13 years old eagerly took part in the relay race, younger children visited the interactive exhibition “Health Exhibition” and took part in the game activity “Bells of Health”. As a result, each age group learned simple principles that help us take care of our bodies.
Those who wished enjoyed playing darts, petanque, volleyball and showed dexterity in driving a bicycle. The children were fascinated by creative master classes (making postcards and crafts from corrugated paper, drawing). There was also an exhibition of works by participants of the children's studio “Fantasers”. The children blew soap bubbles, learned the secrets of nature through a microscope, and interacted with the four-legged pets of Svetlana Shelomitskaya, a dog handler at the Tonus rehabilitation center. And the holiday ended with a concert with the participation of famous musicians Igor Mukha and Pavel Shelpuk, director of the COMPO Machine-Building Enterprise LLC Mikhail Belousov and others.
