From 1 September 2026, labour pensions in Belarus will be recalculated. The corresponding decision was taken by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 288 of 24 August 2026.
On average, the amount of labour pensions will increase by 5%.
The recalculation will cover labour pensions:
- old-age pensions;
- disability pensions;
- long-service pensions;
- survivor pensions.
Thus, the increase will also apply to people who receive a labour disability pension.
It is important to note that this concerns labour pensions specifically. This announcement does not mean an automatic 5% increase in all social pensions, benefits and other social payments.
The wording “an average of 5%” also does not mean that every recipient’s pension will increase by exactly 5%. The specific amount after recalculation depends on the individual pension size.
