15 people, 10 of whom are people with disabilities, received practical knowledge, skills and techniques for conducting events in the field of healthy lifestyle and career guidance for 10 days. As a result, the camp participants increased their knowledge in the field of healthy lifestyle and prevention of NCDs to organize the work of the “Inclusive Center for the Promotion of Healthy Lifestyle” and conduct a cycling marathon to the boarding house in the village of Domachevo. We also got acquainted with possible professions for people with disabilities and employment options in the labor market of Brest. These events allowed camp participants to practice acquired skills and increase physical activity.
Children with their own physical talents from the cities of Brest, Pinsk, Baranovichi, Ivatsevichi had the opportunity to realize themselves to the maximum creatively together with professionals, honored ceramic artists and healthy lifestyle instructors. With their planned and thoughtful events, volunteers from the Brest Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, in an extremely flexible and fantastically simple manner, taking into account the physical capabilities of the group, managed to create an atmosphere of a single family of like-minded people.
The crown of emotions and the limit of feelings was called by the “Cycling Marathon” to the village of Domachevo on ordinary bicycles and a tendem bike coupled with a wheelchair, on which a disabled person of the 1st group Nikolai Sidorchuk from Pinsk bravely and bravely rode. In addition to the planned meeting with an interesting person Pstyko Konstantin (a wheelchair rugby athlete and an active rehabilitation instructor in Poland), a campfire fish soup was jointly prepared on the shore of the Agro pond of the Back to the USSR estate.
The last point of the event “Sportakiada” from Paralympic sports (Boccia, archery) won the hearts of both participants and volunteers, where Dmitruk Pavel (disabled group 2) gave the youngest camp participant Kostik Bakhur his sweet prize - a whole box of chocolates, for which he received a storm of applause and gratitude for the inspired outburst of mercy and the general final jubilation of the holiday for the soul and body.
