Goals of the Fair - 2007:

• promoting the implementation of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of the Republic of Belarus, combining efforts aimed at solving pressing social problems, ensuring social security and increasing the level of social well-being;

• revival of the traditions of mercy and charity in society, promoting advanced technologies of social work and technology of state social order, development of social partnership and socially responsible business;

• presentation of the activities of state, public, religious and commercial organizations providing social services, helping to improve their social status;

• holding an open republican competition of social projects of non-profit organizations for the practical implementation of the best developments using the potential of cross-sector interactions;

• creating conditions for the exchange of experience and development of professional contacts between specialists.

The Fair's organizing committee included representatives of government and non-government organizations working in the field of social services, as well as international organizations.

Specialists from government and non-government organizations from Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Germany - representatives of 71 organizations, including 43 government, 27 public, 1 commercial, took part in the Fair events. 83 social projects were submitted to the competition.

To evaluate the presented projects, determine the laureates and diploma recipients of the Fair, Belarusian specialists from Minsk and the Brest region, working in the profile of thematic sections, were invited to the Expert Council.

 

The Fair laureates were given 2 printers at the expense of the Minsk International Educational Center, and the diploma winners were given 10 flash cards. A group of experts proposed introducing a special nomination of the Fair “For work on unification and information support for the activities of social workers” for the NGO “Belarusian Association of Social Workers”, a gift was purchased. However, this nomination has not been agreed upon with the organizing committee and cannot be awarded in principle, since the NGO BASR did not provide the organizing committee with a report on its activities. NGO BASR compensated the cost of purchasing the prize from its own funds.
