This page brings together surviving images of different versions of the “Disabled Person and Environment” website.
These are more than old designs. They show how the website’s structure, publishing methods and presentation of the organisation’s work changed as the Internet developed.
Some elements of the older sites may look unfamiliar today, and some images or external services no longer work, but these materials remain part of the history of daebrest.by.
17 October 2002
The beginning of the website’s history
The earliest archived copy found of the “Disabled Person and Environment” website is dated 17 October 2002. This is not an established creation date: the online resource may have appeared earlier.
The website was already operating at daebrest.org. The earliest version found was hand-built in HTML using the table-based layout typical of the early 2000s.
Even then, it contained sections about the association, its history, present and future, photographs, project information and other materials; Russian and English versions were available.

2003
Changes to navigation
The next important archival point is dated 17 October 2003. The website continued to operate at daebrest.org, but its design and navigation had already changed noticeably.
The menu included “News”, “History”, “Present”, “Future”, “Photos”, “SOS”, “Partners” and “Contacts”. Compared with the earliest version found, the structure had become easier for visitors to understand.
The inscription “DAE 2001–2003” survives on the page. It may indicate an earlier beginning for the project, but no archived copy from 2001 has yet been found, so this is a historical detail rather than a confirmed launch date.

2004
A developed structure and news
The website’s appearance changed considerably again in 2004: the number of sections and published materials increased.
The website contained news, information about the association’s work, projects and partners, photographs and contacts. One preserved page gives 30 October 2004 as the date of its latest update.
Technically, the website still consisted mainly of separate HTML pages, but its structure and volume of information continued to grow.
2006–2010 — moving to a dynamic website
By the end of 2006, not only the appearance but also the technical foundation of the website had changed. The archived version dated 21 December 2006 already used dynamic PHP pages.
The credit “Design & Engine: DBC-Studio 2004” survives on the website. The available archived materials point to a custom dynamic PHP solution or a system created by DBC-Studio.
An archived copy dated 26 July 2010 shows that this technical foundation remained in use for several years. The website thus progressed from hand-built HTML pages to a dynamic online resource.

2011
A richer information resource
The 2011 version belongs to the next stage of development, when the website became richer in content and began accumulating more publications and photographs.
The preserved screenshot shows a page with text materials and images. This matches the original chronology, which records publications, photographs, programmes, seminars and reports for 2011–2012.
Compared with the early versions, the website was increasingly serving not only as a calling card but also as an archive of ongoing work.
Migration to Drupal
By 9 May 2011, the website’s technical platform had changed: the preserved materials show characteristic signs of Drupal 6.x.
Moving to a content management system made it easier to work with a large volume of material and to develop the structure without manually editing every HTML page.
The arrival of daebrest.by
The daebrest.by domain was registered on 5 June 2011. The address daebrest.org had been used previously; the new domain later became the website’s permanent address.
An archived copy dated 7 August 2011 contains the news item “We have a new address”, announcing the move to www.daebrest.by and a change of email address. This period marks the beginning of the history of the website’s current address.

2012
Thematic sections and materials
Development continued in 2012: the website published materials about programmes and projects, photographs, information about seminars, reports and other publications by the organisation.
The preserved screenshot shows a denser page structure with thematic navigation and a stream of materials. It reflects the growing volume of information that the website had to store and present to visitors.
Together with the 2011 version, this period shows the website becoming a continuously updated resource rather than a collection of a few permanent pages.
daebrest.by as the permanent address
The organisation’s entry in the BelBSI directory listed daebrest.by as its official website; the entry was updated on 15 February 2012.
This is independent evidence that the new domain was already being used as the association’s official address in early 2012.
Migration from Drupal to Joomla
On 19 June 2012, the website was still running on Drupal 6.x, while archived materials dated 24 December 2012 already show Joomla!. The migration therefore took place in the second half of the year.
The available materials do not establish the exact migration date. This stage reflects the search for a system suited to a constantly growing volume of publications.

2015
A refreshed design
The archived version dated 17 November 2015 preserved the message: “Our website, BOMOO ‘Disabled Person and Environment’, has resumed operation!”.
This entry shows that the website’s history included not only updates and new sections, but also difficult periods when the resource had to be restored.
The screenshot shows a different arrangement of materials and a distinct navigation column; the website continued to publish organisational news and project materials.

2016
News and project materials
A major technical reconstruction took place in spring 2016. On 6 March the website was still running on Joomla, while the archived version dated 13 May already shows signs of “1C-Bitrix: Site Management”.
The migration therefore occurred after 6 March but no later than 13 May; without further confirmation, no more precise date is stated.
The 2016 version retained a horizontal main menu, news, additional blocks and visual materials from events.
The period on 1C-Bitrix
1C-Bitrix became one of the longest-used technical platforms in the history of daebrest.by.
The website continued to publish news, materials about events and projects, photographs, announcements and other information. The experience of managing content, structure and administration accumulated during this period later became important for the website’s renewal.

2020
A modern design and project cards
The previous version was still operating in summer 2020, but the archived copy dated 20 September already shows a completely different daebrest.by.
The new version was developed by Roman Ivanovich Shmyga. It had a new design, a different home page and a new way of presenting the association’s projects and work. This was a significant visual and structural transition from the previous website.
The preserved screenshot confirms the changes: a large header, horizontal menu and card-based presentation of materials make the home page more visual.
A return to active work on the website
From late 2021, work on the technical side, content, updates and necessary changes gradually became more active.
This was not an instant replacement of one version by another. The years 2020–2022 formed a distinct stage and marked the beginning of ongoing technical maintenance of the website.

News feed and areas of work
The latest archived copy found of the 2020 version is dated 7 October 2022. This does not mean the website was replaced on that date; it is simply the latest point found at which the previous version was still available.
An archived copy dated 6 December 2022 already shows a new version on 1C-Bitrix. The migration therefore occurred between these two archived points; the exact date has not yet been established.
By then, the website used the organisation’s new name, BOOOPI “Disabled Person and Environment”. The screenshot shows a news feed and thematic areas including Healthy Lifestyle, KeramArt, “Neprataptany shliakh”, Society and Contacts.
The organisation’s working website in 2022–2026
In the following years, this version served as the organisation’s active website, publishing news, reports, announcements and information about the association’s work.
The website’s structure did not change substantially for several years. It gradually became clear that further development would require not isolated minor changes, but a deeper reconstruction of the online resource.

The modern daebrest.by
Development of the modern daebrest.by began in 2026. It grew out of many years of practical experience with the website and an understanding of the structure, navigation and administration area the organisation needed.
Modern AI assistants were used as development tools: they helped with code, finding solutions, testing ideas and correcting errors, but they did not determine the website’s content, usability or logic.
This stage combined modern tools with experience accumulated since 2002: an understanding of the organisation’s tasks, visitors’ needs and the principles of long-term development of the resource.
Exploring new tools
Work with ChatGPT, Claude and Grok began in 2026. Initially, it was an experiment to understand whether the new tools could assist web development and help implement ideas accumulated over previous years.
The structure of the existing 1C-Bitrix website no longer fully matched the vision of a modern resource for the organisation. The experiment gradually grew into the development of a new version of daebrest.by.
31 May 2026 — development of the new website begins
A local development environment was prepared and a new website project created on 31 May 2026. This date is regarded as the beginning of practical development of the modern daebrest.by.
Early working versions already existed in the first days of June. Development took place separately from the live website, so visitors continued to use the previous version.
7 June 2026 — the previous website remains in operation
An archival checkpoint dated 7 June 2026 shows that the previous 1C-Bitrix version was still present on the main daebrest.by domain.
Development of the new website had already begun by then, but it had not yet been published. This allowed the new resource to be built and tested without disrupting the live website.
From two languages to four
The new version was initially intended to support two languages, but the project grew substantially during development.
As a result, the modern daebrest.by received four language versions: Russian, Belarusian, English and Chinese. The experiment gradually became a complete replacement for the long-running previous website.
3 August 2026 — launch of the modern version
The modern version was placed on the main daebrest.by domain on 3 August 2026 and became available to visitors after verification.
This date is confirmed as the launch date of the modern website. Details of the internal preparation and deployment are not published here.
The role of artificial intelligence
AI helped implement ideas technically: working with code, finding solutions, testing hypotheses and accelerating many tasks.
However, the understanding of the structure, news and administration areas, and the practical consequences of different decisions had developed over many years. The modern website resulted from combining accumulated experience with the capabilities of new technologies.
The modern technical foundation
The modern daebrest.by does not use Drupal, Joomla, 1C-Bitrix or another ready-made CMS. It runs on a custom technical foundation using PHP and JSON.
The website supports four languages and is developed with accessibility, adaptation to different devices, performance, a clear content structure, search engine optimisation and a convenient administration area in mind.
2020–2022 — a separate new version of the website; 2022–2026 — 1C-Bitrix; since 3 August 2026 — a custom PHP and JSON system.
The story continues
The earliest archived copy found dates from 17 October 2002; the daebrest.by domain was registered on 5 June 2011; development of the modern version began on 31 May 2026; and it was launched on 3 August 2026.
The history will be expanded if new archived versions, photographs or documents are found that make it possible to reconstruct individual stages of the website’s development more precisely.

The website and its technologies
Website technologies have changed dramatically over more than two decades.
The earliest versions of daebrest.by were created in an era of simple HTML pages, small screens, slow Internet connections and very different expectations of websites.
As the amount of information and expectations grew, the materials, navigation and presentation of the organisation’s areas of work needed an increasingly clear structure.
Development of a new version began in 2026, drawing on accumulated experience. Modern AI assistants accelerated some development tasks, but decisions about structure, content, usability and behaviour were based on the organisation’s many years of practical experience.
