During lunch break Tatyana Viktorovna (the leader of the master class) invited us to participate in the work of the playwright: my volunteers and I analyzed the play of the director who came to the master class. And after lunch we formed teams and acted out fairy tales. And then we discussed how we could make our productions better: what main idea we want to convey to the audience, how this can be done, analyzed the character of the characters, thought about how we could reveal it as much as possible through actions on stage. And of course, after our discussions, we played the fairy tales again and analyzed our actions again.
I noted how important it is for children with special needs to play a role, that through this they feel their importance. I realized how important it is to celebrate their small successes, I saw that they have a variety of talents - some have a beautiful voice, others have expressive facial expressions, and others are simply inimitable in playing their roles. Theatrical activities give them the opportunity to communicate and receive a lot of positive emotions.
After the meeting, theater directors took away invaluable experience as a director and plans for its implementation in their theaters, and volunteers took away a new experience of communicating with children with special needs. Tired but happy, we returned home.
